Thermal transfer (sublimation transfer)
Thermal transfer printing, commonly known as paper printing, is a fabric transfer printing technology. The principle is to first print the pattern on special transfer paper with special thermal transfer ink, and then transfer the pattern to the cloth surface using high temperature and high pressure. Due to different transfer consumables, they are divided into: transfer paper transfer and sublimation transfer. Thermal transfer is particularly suitable for printing graphics that include full-color images or photos. Dye-sublimation transfer printing uses dyes with sublimation properties to draw patterns, inkjet printing on thermal transfer paper, and uses a high-temperature and high-pressure machine to transfer the pattern onto the fabric. After heating and pressing, the ink will sublimate into a vapor state at high temperatures and penetrate into the material in the form of gas molecules. This gaseous dye molecules can easily enter the pores of the textile. When the temperature drops, the dye will return to a solid state again, and at the same time, the pores on the surface of the textile will When closed and solidified, the color can completely penetrate into the fiber of the transfer material. The visual and tactile properties are first-class and the original breathability and comfort are retained. The color will not fade after washing. The disadvantage is that it is only applicable to man-made fiber fabrics and is not applicable to fabrics with a large proportion of natural fibers such as cotton and linen. Therefore, this printing process is mostly used on sports team uniforms.
